How big was that mosquito?

We've been working outside lately, and the other night I ended up with three huge mosquito bites. However, this one was definitely the biggest!

On Friday, I took my Korean friends Jinkyung and Soyoung to my dad's cousin's wife's restaurant. She is from Korea and wanted to meet them. It was a ton of fun, and I think they had quite a bit of fun too! Their English is really quite good, sometimes it is hard to understand their pronounciation, but for the most part communication is good. They are such fun girls, and I really love hanigng out with them. They took me to a Korean restaurant, and it was good, but the one dish was REALLY hot, apparently my face turned red when I ate it.

This is what we think of David Archuleta.....

He may have a good voice, but his songs are really rather boring. It is sort of embarrassing how many girls were screaming about him, especially the girls infront of us!

Go RSL! Although my love for Utah's very own MLS team is not as strong as it once was, I still love going to the games. Dani has gone with me to a few, and we always have a ton of fun when we go together, whether it rains or there are two extremely annoying couples infront of us who we would like to punch in the neck. This past game, the stadium was dedicated, and I have to say the dedicatory prayer is honestly the LONGEST prayer I ahve ever heard in my life! It was good, just long. Army guys parachuted into the stadium and it was pretty intense. There was also a fly-over, and (Sorry Dani) it was really funny because Dani wasn't expecting it and when the plane came over (I swear it was only like twenty feet above the stadium) it really scared her. She told me once she calmed down a little that she thought we were being attacked and was trying to figure out how to get me out of there. At least I know Dani is concerned about my safety. :)

California......

Last year, my mom, Kirstin and I went to California with Jackie, McKell and her kids. Jackie's friend Margo invited us and I was really skeptical at first - we would be camping on the beach and I'm really not the camping type - but it ended up being so much fun! All we had to do was walk across a tiny little parking lot and you were at the beach. We camped in tents in a campground but there were bathrooms and showers (you did have to pay to shower but oh well). The beach there is so beautiful, it's in Carpinteria which is in Central Cali. I'm dying to go back! We are hopefully going to go again this year, but I don't know yet. Anyway, if you ever get the chance to go there, GO!

Back Home

Well I am back in good ol' Mapleton for the summer. It is nice to be home, I can save some money, eat good food and hang with my family. There are some not so fun things, but I think that is going to change before too long, so that will be nice. :)

Lately I have been in the mood for AAR. Their new cd "When the World Comes Down" has some really good songs on it - I love "Gives You Hell" but my favorite is "Mona Lisa."
